(Gap in education)
I, Simran Kaur daughter of Shri Gurdev Singh, aged about 19 years, resident of House No. 88, Model Town, Amarnagar, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as under:
1.That I passed Class XII from the Punjab School Education Board in 2024.
2.That there has been a gap in my studies from June 2024 to June 2026, during which I prepared for the IELTS and helped my father on the farm.
3.That during this period I was not enrolled as a regular student in any institution, and I was not involved in any criminal case or unlawful activity.
4.That I am seeking admission to a diploma course abroad and am making this affidavit for that purpose.

- Aadhaar card or another photo identity proof (photocopy; the original to show)
- The marksheet and certificate of the last examination you passed
- Proof of what you did in the gap: experience letters and salary slips, a coaching or course certificate, medical papers, or a language test result
- The admission or offer letter, the job letter, or the visa checklist that asks for this
Where to go
Sworn before an Oath Commissioner or Notary (a visa file usually wants a Notary), then given to the college or employer, or added to the visa file.
Fee
The e-Stamp paper and the Oath Commissioner's or Notary's fee are paid at the counter; ask there for today's amounts.

Stamp paper
Punjab: affidavits are usually typed on e-stamp paper (buy it at an authorised e-stamp centre; check the current duty there) and sworn before an Oath Commissioner or Notary. Many state services now accept a self-declaration instead.
Haryana: use e-stamp paper (egrashry / authorised vendors; check the current duty) and swear before an Oath Commissioner or Notary.
Chandigarh: e-stamp paper from an authorised centre (check the current duty); sworn before an Oath Commissioner or Notary.
