What to bring
Papers to bring
- Aadhaar card or another photo identity proof (photocopy; the original to show)
- Proof of why your consent counts: ownership papers, proof of the relationship, or proof of your post or authority
- The full name and details of the person or body it is for, and the exact purpose
Where to go
Signed by you and handed to the person who needs it, who files it with the office or bank concerned. Plain paper is usually enough; some offices want it on stamp paper attested by a Notary, or as an affidavit.
Fee
No fee on plain paper; if the office wants stamp paper, a Notary or an affidavit, ask there for today's charges.
Good to know
- Ask the office for its own format first; many have one.
- Name the purpose exactly: a general no-objection can be used for something you did not mean.
- For a business at your premises or a jointly owned property, use "Owner's no-objection and consent for business use of premises" or "No-objection certificate from a co-owner".
Papers and fees can change. Check with the office before you go. Guidance only, not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
