Date: 12-10-2026
By Registered A.D. / Speed Post
To,
Shri Kabir Sharma
House No. 7, Basant Vihar, Amarnagar, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab
Subject: Demand for repayment of ₹3,00,000 lent on 20-11-2025
Sir/Madam,
Under instructions from and on behalf of my client, Vikram Singh son of Shri Harbans Singh, aged about 52 years, resident of House No. 45, Gulab Colony, Amarnagar, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab, I hereby serve you with the following legal notice:
1.That at your request, my client lent you ₹3,00,000 (Rupees Three Lakh only) on 20-11-2025 by bank transfer, as a friendly loan, which you promised to repay within six months.
2.That despite repeated requests, you have not repaid the loan, and the whole amount remains due.
3.That you are therefore called upon to repay ₹3,00,000 with interest at 9% a year from 20-11-2025 within 15 days of receiving this notice, failing which my client shall file a suit for recovery against you, at your risk as to costs and consequences.
A copy of this notice has been retained in my office for record and further action.
The rest of the paper is in Dastavo.
What to bring
Papers to bring
- Proof of the loan: the bank-transfer record or cheque, a receipt or pronote signed by the borrower, or messages admitting it
- The names of anyone who saw the money paid
- The borrower's full name and every address you know
Where to go
Signed by you, or by your advocate for you, and sent by registered post with acknowledgment due (AD) or speed post to every address of the other side that you know; e-mail or WhatsApp can be added.
Fee
No stamp paper or court fee is needed for a notice: you pay the postage, and the advocate's fee if an advocate sends it.
Good to know
- A suit for a loan is usually filed within three years; a written acknowledgment or part payment within that time starts a fresh period.
- Keep the postal receipts, the tracking report and the AD card or the returned envelope (unopened): a later case needs them to prove the notice.
Papers and fees can change. Check with the office before you go. Guidance only, not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
Stamp paper
Plain paper is enough.
