FULL AND FINAL SETTLEMENT RECEIPT
I, Simran Kaur daughter of Shri Gurdev Singh, aged about 19 years, resident of House No. 88, Model Town, Amarnagar, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab, have received ₹54,000 (Rupees Fifty-Four Thousand only) by bank transfer from Sharma Hardware, through its proprietor Kabir Sharma son of Shri Dev Sharma, aged about 44 years, resident of House No. 7, Basant Vihar, Amarnagar, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab in full and final settlement of my salary and dues up to 30-09-2026. Nothing more is due to me from him on that account, and I have no further claim of any kind about it.
Date: 12-10-2026
WITNESSES:
What to bring
Papers to bring
- The identity proof of the person receiving the money (photocopy)
- Proof of payment: the bank transfer record, or the cheque or draft number
- Papers of the matter being settled: the bill, agreement or notice, or the case details
- Two witnesses, if the payer wants them, each with an identity proof
Where to go
Signed by the person receiving the money and given to the person paying, who keeps the original. It is not registered.
Fee
Plain paper is enough; a receipt above the amount set in the stamp law carries a revenue stamp, signed across by the person receiving the money.
Good to know
- Sign it only when the full amount has actually reached you: after it you cannot claim more on the same matter.
- If a case or complaint is pending over the matter, it must still be withdrawn or compromised in court (see "Joint compromise statement").
- Pay by bank transfer, cheque or draft where you can, so the payment shows in the bank record.
Papers and fees can change. Check with the office before you go. Guidance only, not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
Stamp paper
A receipt for more than ₹5,000 usually carries a one-rupee revenue stamp, signed across.
