NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE
I, Balwant Kaur widow of late Shri Jagir Singh, aged about 67 years, resident of Village Kalyanpur, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab, am a co-owner of the property described below, along with Gurdev Singh son of Shri Karnail Singh, aged about 48 years, resident of House No. 88, Model Town, Amarnagar, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab. I have no objection to Gurdev Singh getting a new electricity connection in his name, and this certificate may be acted upon by any office concerned. My own rights as co-owner remain as they are.
PROPERTY: House No. 45, Gulab Colony, Amarnagar, built on a plot of 150 square yards, with all fittings, fixtures and rights of passage.
Date: 12-10-2026
What to bring
Papers to bring
- The co-owner's Aadhaar card or another photo identity proof (photocopy)
- Proof of the joint ownership: the registry, jamabandi (fard) or municipal record showing both names
- The form or application of the office it is for, such as the power utility, the municipal body, the tehsil or the bank
- Two recent passport-size photographs, if the office asks for them
Where to go
Signed by the co-owner and given with the other co-owner's application to the office concerned. Some offices want it sworn as an affidavit before an Oath Commissioner or Notary, or on their own form.
Fee
Plain paper is usually enough; if the office wants an affidavit, the e-Stamp paper and the attestation fee are paid at the counter.
Good to know
- Write exactly what you agree to: an NOC does not transfer your share, and your rights as co-owner stay as they are.
- For a loan on the whole property, the bank usually wants every co-owner to sign the mortgage, not just an NOC.
