To,
The Tehsildar / Assistant Collector,
Tehsil Amarnagar
Subject: Demarcation of land
Sir/Madam,
1.That the applicant is the owner in possession of the following land:
Agricultural land measuring 16 kanal 4 marla, comprised in Khewat No. 77, Khatoni No. 102, Khasra Nos. 45//12 (8-0) and 45//13 (8-4), situated in Village Kalyanpur, Hadbast No. 112, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, as entered in the jamabandi for the year 2022-23, with all rights of irrigation and the tube-well connection.

3.That the adjoining owners, Jagir Singh and Om Prakash of Village Kalyanpur, may be given notice of the date of demarcation.
4.That the applicant is ready to pay the prescribed fee, and requests that the land be demarcated by the revenue staff on the spot and a report be given.

What to bring
Papers to bring
- A recent copy of the jamabandi (fard) of the land, from the Fard Kendra or the Patwari
- The field map (aks shajra) of the khasra numbers and, if any, an earlier demarcation report
- The mutation or registered deed by which you hold the land
- Aadhaar card or another photo identity proof (photocopy; the original to show)
- Names and addresses of the adjoining owners, for the notices
Where to go
Filed with the Tehsildar (Assistant Collector) of the tehsil, or online where the state offers it. On the date fixed, after notice to the neighbours, the Kanungo and the Patwari mark the boundaries on the spot and give a report.
Fee
The application is on plain paper; the demarcation fee the state fixes is paid as the tehsil directs. Ask there for today's amount.
Good to know
- Be on the spot on the date fixed with your papers; the neighbours can attend and state their objections.
- Do not move boundary marks yourself. If you disagree with the report, object before the revenue officer or appeal to the higher officer.
- A mutation or a demarcation only records what is on the ground; it does not decide who owns the land, and a dispute goes to the civil court.
Papers and fees can change. Check with the office before you go. Guidance only, not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
Stamp paper
Plain paper is enough.
