What to bring
Papers to bring
- A certified copy of the order that granted the bail, with its conditions
- A copy of the FIR
- Proof of the misuse: copies of complaints or DDR entries made to the police, call recordings or messages, medical papers, or the copy of a new FIR
- Aadhaar card or another photo identity proof (photocopy; the original to show)
Where to go
Usually filed through an advocate in the court that granted the bail, or in the Sessions Court; a copy goes to the Public Prosecutor. In the High Court it is a separate CRM-M petition.
Fee
Court fee and welfare stamps, where needed, are put on as the court office directs; ask the counter for today's amounts.
Good to know
- Courts cancel bail only on strong grounds, such as threats, tampering or a fresh offence; dated proof matters more than words.
- Report every fresh threat to the police at once and keep the receipt; in danger, call 112.
