Rohan Kumar son of Shri Om Prakash, aged about 37 years, resident of House No. 12, Street No. 3, Nanak Nagar, Amarnagar, Tehsil and District Amarnagar, Punjab
…Respondent

PETITION UNDER SECTION 11 OF THE HINDU MARRIAGE ACT, 1955 FOR A DECREE OF NULLITY OF MARRIAGE

Respectfully Showeth:

1.That the marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was solemnised on 22-02-2026 at Shantipur, according to Hindu rites and ceremonies. Both parties are governed by the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955.

2.That no child was born of the marriage.

3.That after the marriage the parties lived together as husband and wife, last at House No. 18, Sector 4, Shantipur, and they have been living apart since 05-08-2026.

4.That the marriage is null and void under Section 11 of the Act, because at the time of the marriage the respondent had a spouse living, contrary to Section 5(i) of the Act. The facts are these: the respondent had married Asha Rani on 08-02-2015 at Amarnagar; that marriage has not been dissolved, and she was living, as she is now, when the respondent married the petitioner; the respondent hid this from the petitioner and her family, who learnt of it on 05-08-2026, when Asha Rani came to their house with the photographs of her marriage.
